We live in a small village on the borders of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, and have fields and lots of room for our lovely goldens to play in. Our love of this breed started over thirty years ago when we aquired our first golden from Margaret Izzard (RYSHOT AMBER DELIGHT) named "DEL" short for delight which he was, we will be forever grateful to her for introducing us to this lovely breed. We did a few shows with this wonderful boy. With the children so young we decided to wait until they grew up to really get into showing.

We then bought in our first real show dog " LODDONVALE KOODOS" he was also our first "ULYSSES" he was the most wonderful dog, he never put a foot wrong in the whole of his life. Then came the day we bought him a new friend, our beautiful "DABESS KALANDRA OF MOTLAISA JW" she was the start of our breeding golden retrievers when ULY saw her he thought all his christmas's had come at once, they remained devoted all their lives. She was the start of "MOTLAISA " from her first litter we kept "MOTLAISA  MADONNA’ who we mated to 'SH.CH. LORINFORD LANCELOT’ and that produced a superb litter and gave us our first Junior Warrant winner. His name was ‘Dale’ MOTLAISA CHALICE OF GOLD JW.’ We have had many winners since then, and have now progressed to owning the Sire of the Top Winning Golden in the UK 2006 His name is’ RONJALEE RAGAMUFFIN AT MOTLAISA JW.’ ‘TROY’ the top winning Golden is ‘SH.CH. TAMARLEY FRENCH KISS JW’. We also have two of ‘TROY’S daughters here at Motlaisa they are TAMARLEY FRENCH CONNECTION WITH MOTLAISA and NEBESUS ALOTHE AMITOLA AT MOTLAISA JW both Championship show winners. Also ‘Dollar’ our ELZAC KIWI SPECIAL FOR MOTLAISA’ Bought from Pam Springate a really super boy, another Championship Show Winner. We have been unable to show ‘Troy’ due to my ill health but his progeny are carrying his name forward for him. He has other CC. RES CC. and many JUNIOR WARRANT winners. in the UK. He now has other progeny abroad who are doing very well in Europe and further a field. It broke our hearts when Troy was given sleep to prevent any further suffering in 2009 life will never be the same he was a once in a life time dog. We bought in a super boy from Spain his name is ‘ROQUE –NUBLO DE RIA ‘our thanks go to his breeders Antonia and Paloma for letting us have this wonderful happy dog. He is always so happy and a wonderful dog to own. Also a wonderful stud dog with many winning progeny.

       Our dogs are first and foremost pets and our best friends, they all live in the house, and are loved by everyone especially our six grand children

       I also judge Golden Retrievers and love doing it, it’s wonderful to put your hands on other people’s dogs and really feel the conformation of them.
